“Oktoberfest: The Official Game” is a VR social game for the Oculus Quest 2/3 and offers the Theresienwiesn in Munich as well as a tent as a playground for interactions between players. In addition, there are various accessible attractions such as motion rides and mini-games like a Shooting Range, a Can Toss Booth, a Serving Game and much more. The game is intended as a live service game and will be constantly updated with new content.
I was involved in the project as a Technical Artist as well as a 3D Artist. In this role I modeled many of the booths and attractions, created LODs and implemented everything in Unity with everything that went with it (creating colliders or briefing for further processing by Dev). I was also the last instance for external 3d artists. I checked their work and gave feedback if necessary.
I also created UI assets, smaller game equipment, various animations and rigging of attractions and the duck in the Home Scene as well as creating and maintaining various texture atlases. In addition, The Art Team and I made regular adjustments and optimizations to bring this very large and complex game to the Oculus Quest 2 without any major loss of quali
